Confabulations (More)

I make up stuff, fool around. A fancy word for that is “confabulation.” At the bottom of my listing of Papers on my website are the links to a series of webpages that have to do with foolin’ around, mythmaking, art, and miscellaneous other stuff. It’s an art form, my wife says, a mixture of wordsmith-ing, bulls**t, doodling, and mind-stretching “diagrams” that explain the “meaning of life, the universe, and everything” (as the later science-fiction author Douglas Adams imagined a planet-size computer constructed by super-intelligent multi-dimensional beings might respond to that question—the answer: “42").
So if you’re in the mood for a bit of a carnival of the mind, those “issues” of the Journal of Very Speculative Philosophy and Confabulations are in a sense some “rides” you can take.
Recently I discovered this yet another “ride” or “mind trip” or set thereof: “Imagining the Tenth Dimension” and related items on youtube, etc. The creator of this, Rob Bryanton, also referenced some books he found, like one by Kaufman titled “Re-Inventing the Sacred.” This fits with some of my thoughts—so that what if the true essence of creativity were recognized as divine? God 2.0? Whoosh! (My mantra for the experience of a mind boggle-stretching.)
Great resource. I read alot of classical philosophy, but I have been branching out further into contemporary philosophy. Thanks for the posts.
