I like the following quote by the early 20th century playwright, George Bernard Shaw: “Do not do unto others as you would that they should do unto you. Their tastes may not be the same.”
    I erroneously did just that, not realizing that I was considerably brighter than others, and also had a bent toward indirect humor that was a bit “shocking.” It had the opposite effect of my efforts to be “popular.” Ah, well….
