What an interesting journey. I’m lucky to have a very intelligent woman whom I love dearly—my wife, Allee—join me in reflecting on what’s it all about, and more, how shall we play it. It’s enormously complicated, but two themes emerge promi-nently: divesting, also known as lightening up, and downsizing. Part of me strug-gles against this: “No, no!” Part of me knows this is what is needed at this phase of our lives.

On another theme, hi there. I have been busy doin’ things and contemplating, and the main things on my plate are as above, which is daunting.
