These are short, sturdy posts used to divert traffic from the road. There are two types: manual, removable ones and automatic, retractable bollards. I’m pretty good with words but never to my recollection encountered this word “bollard” before! (It was in the San Luis Obispo Tribune on February 25th, 2018.

Then a doubt crossed my mind: Maybe I have but don’t remember. Nah. But just maybe? You know you have been repeating yourself. Like you don’t remember that you told those near and dear to you that thing about whatever.

Hey, “That thing about whatever” is a good song title for Swingin’ Seniors! And I am becoming increasingly distractible! Ah, well.
