My wife is on a Zen Buddhist study group e-network recently, and we were chatting about her spiritual journey. She’s impressed with the very fact that these new friends have sought to raise their consciousness; they’ve embarked on a journey that is in itself sufficient. (The Hebrew word for this is “dayenu,” meaning, “that would have been sufficient.”) Allee said that the simple idea that there are people who want to bring love into the world and want to transcend selfishness, the pitfall of being caught up in the illusion that it’s all about “me.” Already these people in seeking to transcend this temptation are on the side of God. It’s a kind of just flipping the switch. I thought, “Good. Into the blog.”
