A fancy word for that is \u201cconfabulation.\u201d At the <strong><em>bottom<\/em><\/strong> of my listing of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blatner.com\/adam\/papers.html\">Papers on my website<\/a> are the links to a series of webpages that have to do with foolin\u2019 around, mythmaking, art, and miscellaneous other stuff. It\u2019s an art form, my wife says, a mixture of wordsmith-ing, bulls**t, doodling, and mind-stretching \u201cdiagrams\u201d that explain the \u201cmeaning of life, the universe, and everything\u201d (as the later science-fiction author Douglas Adams imagined a planet-size computer constructed by super-intelligent multi-dimensional beings might respond to that question\u2014the answer: \u201c42&quot;). <\/p>\n<p>So if you\u2019re in the mood for a bit of a carnival of the mind, those \u201cissues\u201d of the Journal of Very Speculative Philosophy and Confabulations are in a sense some \u201crides\u201d you can take.&#160; <\/p>\n<p>Recently I discovered this yet another \u201cride\u201d or \u201cmind trip\u201d or set thereof:&#160; \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/imaginingthetenthdimension.blogspot.com\">Imagining the Tenth Dimension<\/a>\u201d&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; and related items on youtube, etc.&#160; The creator of this, Rob Bryanton, also referenced some books he found, like one by Kaufman titled \u201cRe-Inventing the Sacred.\u201d This fits with some of my thoughts&#8212;so that what if the true essence of creativity were recognized as divine?
