I\u2019ve done a lot, learned a lot, loved and been loved a lot. I like the words of the song, \u201cMy Way,\u201d which was Frank Sinatra\u2019s theme song, though for me I have to confess that it should often have been called \u201cThy Way.\u201d I was forced to do some things I didn\u2019t really want to, and in the long run I guess they were good for me!<\/p>\n
Pretty much, though, the song is true for me, but as I say, substitute Thy Way for My Way fairly frequently. I\u2019ve done a whole bunch, and yet it\u2019s not all that much. There\u2019s an echo of \u201cI\u2019m not impressed\u201d mixed in with \u201cYou did a lot.\u201d <\/p>\n
To all this I reply, \u201cI got to help!\u201d The dreams of glory are passed, and I sort of am aware that great kings and conquerors also died and were forgotten. (I used to want to be a great conqueror, for a time in my early adolescence, because that way my big brother couldn\u2019t pick on me. Ah well.)<\/p>\n
